Baked Lasagna with comforting layers of pasta, rich tomato sauce, hearty meat, and melted mozzarella cheese — all baked to gooey perfection.

|2 Tbsps||olive oil|
|1||garlic clove, chopped|
|1 lb||ground beef|
|1 can||(28 oz) diced tomatoes, drained|
|1 can||(6 oz) no-salt added tomato paste|
|1/8 tsp||ground black pepper|
|1 tsp||fresh basil leaves|
|15 oz||ricotta cheese|
|1/2 lb||shredded mozzarella cheese|
|6 Tbsps||shredded Parmesan cheese|
|non-stick cooking spray|
- Prepare oven to 350ºF.
- In a large skillet over medium heat saute onion and garlic in oil. Add meat and brown. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, salt, pepper and basil. Simmer 1 hour.
- Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Pat pasta dry and lay flat on a cookie sheet.
- Coat a 7 x 11-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Place three pieces of pasta on bottom of dish. Top with 1/3 meat sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers.
- Bake 30 minutes. Cover with foil and let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
