Three Cheese Baked Macaroni

Cheddar, Parmesan and Cottage cheeses are blended together to create a creamy and delicious side dish.

INGREDIENTS:

8 ozSan Giorgio® Elbow Macaroni
2 Tbspsonions, finely chopped
2 Tbspsbutter
2 Tbspsall purpose flour
1/2 tsppowdered mustard
1/4 tspground black pepper
1 3/4 cupsmilk
4 ozshredded Cheddar cheese
1 cupcottage cheese
1/4 cupgrated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cupbuttered bread crumbs

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350┬║F.
  2. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
  3. In a medium saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour, mustard and pepper; cook 1 minute. Blend in milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add cheddar, cottage and Parmesan cheese; stir until melted. Combine macaroni and sauce mixture; mix well.
  4. Pour into buttered 2-quart baking dish. Top with bread crumbs. Bake 30 minutes.
