Spaghetti and Meatballs

Classic comfort food that everyone will love. Spaghetti and Meatballs is a simple Italian dish that never fails to satisfy.

INGREDIENTS:

8 ozSan Giorgio® Spaghetti
1 lbground beef
1egg
2/3 cupdry bread crumbs
1/4 cupgrated Parmesan cheese
1 tspdried oregano leaves
1/2 tspgarlic salt
1/4 tspground black pepper
1 Tbspvegetable oil
1 jar(24 oz) pasta sauce
grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In medium bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic salt and pepper; shape into 1-1/2 inch balls.
  2. In large non-stick skillet over medium heat, heat oil; brown meatballs, turning occasionally. Drain; add pasta sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover; simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
  4. Serve meatballs and sauce over hot pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
