Pasta and Scampi

Travel to the coast of Italy with our Pasta and Scampi, featuring succulent shrimp, shallots, and a fragrant garlic butter sauce.


8 ozSan Giorgio® Rotini
1/2 cupbutter
1 Tbspolive oil
1 lblarge fresh shrimp, peeled, deveined
2 Tbspsshallot, minced
1garlic clove, minced
2 Tbspslemon juice
1/2 tsphot pepper sauce
1/4 tspgrated lemon peel
1 Tbspparsley, chopped
salt and ground black pepper, to taste


  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in large skillet, melt butter with oil. Add shrimp, shallots and garlic; cook 2 minutes.
  3. Add lemon juice, pepper sauce and lemon peel; continue cooking until shrimp are pink, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in hot pasta and parsley. Salt and pepper to taste.
